Creation Vs. Evolution LinksWhy is creationism important? The Book of Genesis is the foundational book of the Bible. All biblical doctrines have their beginning in this Book of Beginnings. It is attacked because the enemies of the Gospel know that if they can discredit or tear down the Book of Genesis they would have torn down the entire Bible. If God cannot be trusted to tell the truth about creation, the flood, etc., how can He be trusted anywhere else. It is an extremely important issue. There are Christians who have tried to compromise the Bible with so-called science. They have refused to take God at His Word when His Word contradicts what they view as science. They have come up with all sorts of fancy theories which change or dilute the pure, holy Word of God. The fact is true science supports the testimony of the Word of God - as you can see for yourself with the links below. If the evidence for creation is so strong, why do so many people believe evolution? A minor reason is that that is all they have been taught and they have been taught it as a fact. They don't question it. They ridicule [not answer] those who do. But I agree with "Dr. Dino" that the major reason people reject creation has nothing to do with science. They are smart enough to realize that if creation is true then there must be a Creator. If there is a Creator, then there is Someone to Whom we are responsible to obey. They refuse to change a sinful lifestyle; therefore, they must reject creation. For these people it does not matter how much evidence there is for creation, they will refuse to believe it. But for Christians and other people who really want to know the Truth, it is important to know that science confirms the Bible records.
