The Joshua Club, which operates Free Bible Study Lessons, has always offered its courses basically as self-directed, self-study courses. This will continue. Students who want to choose their own courses and work anonymously at home are always welcome to do so.

The Joshua Club is introducing a more structured approach for students who would like to receive acknowledgment of their hard work. The Tri-Certificate program will reward students with a certificate upon successful completion of a series of 3 courses.

We have designed this program for the busy person who wants to study God's Word. They do not have the time or finances to go to a formal school or college, but they want a first class education in the things of God.

To successfully complete the program the student will need to be a Joshua Club Member. The cost is currently $6.99 per month. There is no other cost for the first two Certificate levels [Tri-3 and Tri-6]. For more advanced levels Tri-9 and above there may be additional costs for textbooks/videos. As always we will try to keep the cost down to make it more affordable for more people. The student will also need a copy of the free Skype program, if possible. At the end of each course an instructor will arrange a time to give the student a short quiz before giving the course a final grade for the certificate.

Questions And Answers on the Tri-Certificate Program

How Long Does It Take To Complete A Level?

That depends entirely on the student and the courses in that level. Some students may prefer to work on one course at a time, others may want to work on two or three courses at a time. The Tri-3 Certificate, for example, takes a minimum of twenty weeks, but could take longer.

Do I Have A Time Limit In Which To Complete Courses?

No. We know many people have busy lives. There are no time limits. When you successfully complete all three courses in a Tri-Certificate Level you will receive your certificate. It may take you several months or several years, it doesn't matter as long as you maintain your Joshua Club Membership.

What Is The Cost Of Getting A Tri-Certificate?

All Tri-Certificate students must maintain a Joshua Club Membership. The current cost is $6.99 per month for a membership. There is no registration fee. There is no further cost for a Tri-3 and Tri-6 Certificate. All the courses required for these two certificates are available free either on the Free Bible Study Lesson website or on the Joshua Club Membership page. Tri-9 and above certificates may required additional costs for study materials/textbooks/DVDs. As always we try to keep the cost as low as possible.

Can I Receive A Higher Tri-Certificate Without Completing A Lower Level?

No. You can, of course, take whatever courses you want to in whatever order you want to; however, you cannot receive a higher certificate until all the lower ones have been completed. The higher certificate assumes all the lower ones have been completed. For example, a Tri-6 certificate assumes that the 3 courses for the Tri-3 level have been completed plus the 3 additional courses for the Tri-6 level. A Tri-9 certificates assumes that the 6 courses for the previous two levels have been completed plus the 3 additional courses for the Tri-9 level.

What Exactly Do I Get When I Have Completed A Tri-Certificate Level?

You will receive a certificate stating what level you have completed and the courses in that level. You will also receive a letter with a summary of what you studied in each course and the course grade.

Will Bible Schools Or Colleges Recognize These Certificates?

Most likely not. We are not a traditional Bible School or College. The Certificate is a recognition of your work for your own encouragement. If you are looking at applying these courses to a more formal education then you need to check with that educational institution BEFORE taking any of our courses. That is entirely between you and them. All we can do is send a course description or answer any questions they may have.

Do I Have To Write Tests?

The Certificate program is a combination of self-marking and instructor grading. For the majority of the course the student does and marks the assignments themselves. [Each course has its own specific requirements.] At the end of the course the instructor will quiz the student to ensure basic knowledge of the material and give the course a final grade. The quiz may be written or verbal.

What If I Do Not Pass The Quiz?

The Instructor will recommend areas for restudy and will requiz at a later date.

What If I Have A Question Or Don't Understand The Material?

We are always available via e-mail and may at certain times also be available via Skype for Tri-Certificate students.

What Is The Tri-Mentoring Program?

The Tri-Mentoring program is where we work with your pastor/local church. You will take the Tri-Certificate courses through us, your pastor [or his representative] will oversee a mentoring program in your local church. When you have completed your courses we will sign your certificate and mail it to your pastor. When you have completed the mentoring part of the program, your pastor will also sign the certificate and present it to you. If you are interested, have your pastor contact us. We are strong supporters of the local church.

What Do I Need To Earn A Tri-3 Certificate [1st Level]?

To earn the Tri-3 Certificate you must:

1. Maintain your Joshua Club Membership,
2. Register on the form on the Joshua Club Membership page,
3. Complete the Feed Yourself course and the final assignment which will be given upon completion of the course,
4. Complete the Life Line Workbooks [not the e-mail course], e-mail your final test score for each workbook, and pass a quiz at the end of the course,
5. Read the 13 Points Of Love and answer a quiz.
6. E-mail a short testimony of your Christian journey so far and what you hope to accomplish in the Tri-Certificate Program.

What Do I Need To Earn A Tri-6 Certificate [2nd Level]?

To earn a Tri-6 Certificate you must:

1. Maintain your Joshua Club Membership,
2. Have a Tri-3 Certificate,
3. Complete the Rock Solid program [Including the Feed Yourself section] and the final assignment which will be given upon completion of the course,
4. Complete the Christian Social Theory Workbooks, e-mail your final test score for each workbook, and pass a quiz at the end of the course,
5. Read The Making Of A Blood Covenant and answer a quiz.
