How To Succeed In The Christian Life
"The right way to begin the Christian life is by receiving Jesus Christ. To any one who receives Him, He at once gives the power to become a child of God. Even if you should be the wickedest man on earth and should at this moment receive Jesus Christ, this very instant you would become a child of God. God says so in the most unqualified way in the verse quoted above. No one can become a child of God in any other way. No man, no matter how carefully brought up, no matter ho well he has been sheltered from the vices and evils of this world is a child of God until he receives Jesus Christ. We are "sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus" [Gal. 3:26, R.V.], and in no other way." R.A. Torrey
Once you have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, then what? You are now a child of the Living God. You are now part of the family of God. But what does that mean? What can you do to make sure you have a continuing growing relationship with Jesus Christ and that your faith will withstand the storms of life?
This course is taken from a book written by R.A. Torrey. You will be guided through various things that are vital for you to know and apply in your Christian life. It is not how you start a race that counts, but how you finish. This course will train you to run a good race in the world and finish well so that you can hear those words from the lips of our Saviour, "Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Lord." [Matt. 25:21]
Work at these lessons at your own pace. Assignments are based on the Feed Yourself course and will enrich your understanding and application of these principles if you do them.
