Other
Women In The Bible

"Other" women in the Bible can seem insignificant, but everyone is significant to Jesus.  He designed each one of us, our looks, our desires and the time in history when we would live.  He has prepared things for us to do that will bring glory to God, encouragement to others and satisfaction to ourselves.

Common Sense Promo
There are well-known women in the Bible and then there are other women in the Bible whom seem insignificant, but they, too, have stories to tell.

How blessed is God! And what a blessing he is! He’s the Father of our Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high places of blessing in him. Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. Long, long ago he decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ. (What pleasure he took in planning this!) He wanted us to enter into the celebration of his lavish gift-giving by the hand of his beloved Son…It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone.   Eph. 2:3-6, 11-12

Everyone in Scripture is there for a reason.  Everyone has a story to tell and something to reveal that advances the Kingdom of God and His glory.  This section of “Other Women In The Bible” is about the lessons we learn from women of the Bible who only briefly appear on the pages of Scripture.  They dance across its pages in an instant and are gone.  Many times we do not even know their names.  They are important, too.

You may think that you are like some of these other women in the Bible who only appear to have a small place in the Kingdom of God.  History may not know you.  You may even seem invisible in your own church, but to Jesus you are important.  All that really matters is your relationship with Him.  Yes, there are flowers that sit in places admired by all, but God created millions more to grace the countryside unseen by human eyes, but enjoyed by Jesus.  No matter what your apparent place in life, you can have a dynamic, growing love relationship with Jesus.  And in the end, that is what matters.

Take a few minutes to consider the importance, although often unrecognized, of these women.  They were living, breathing people just like you and I.  They pressed on in their search for their heart's desire and they were not disappointed.  Even so, do not let the curves of life throw you.  Keep your eyes on Jesus...and keep moving forward.  Be inspired by these ladies.
