If you’ve landed on this About Me page, you may be asking a fair question: who is behind Free Bible Study Lessons, and why should you trust what you read here? I’m Glenn Davis, and I write for Christians who want to understand Scripture more clearly, test what they hear by the Bible, and grow in Christ with conviction rather than confusion.
For many readers, Bible study can feel either shallow or needlessly complicated. I aim to help ordinary Christians study the Word of God seriously, think biblically, and apply truth to real life.

I write for Christians who want more than quick inspiration. They want to know what the Bible actually says, how to read it in context, and how to live in light of it. Some are new believers. Others have been in church for years but want a stronger Biblical foundation. In either case, the goal is the same: clearer understanding, deeper faith, and a life shaped by Scripture.
Most of the material on Free Bible Study Lessons has been written by me. Over the years, I have written roughly 700 articles, around 250 newsletters, multiple email courses, and done over 300 YouTube videos on Biblical subjects and Christian living.
My background is not built on academic branding or formal Bible school credentials. It is built on many years of study, church-based training, teaching, and writing. I have taken numerous Bible courses through the local church, taught Bible courses myself, and later helped lead a church Bible training program that served many students over the years. That work gave me both teaching experience and a deep respect for handling Scripture carefully.
My approach is straightforward: I do not ask readers to accept my conclusions automatically. I believe Christians should examine teaching in the light of Scripture, in context, with humility and seriousness. If something here challenges what you have always believed, my hope is not that you agree with me or reject it quickly, but that you go back to the Bible and study it for yourself.
My background has shaped that conviction. I was born in Augusta, Georgia, to Canadian parents who were involved in ministry. Much of my childhood was spent in Kenya, East Africa, where my family served as missionaries, and my father was the principal of a Bible College, developing many of the courses himself. Later, after returning to North America, I spent years in church life, Bible learning, and teaching.

As a young man, I began writing. What started with early pamphlets on Biblical subjects eventually grew into the work that became Free Bible Study Lessons. Over time, that writing expanded into articles, courses, newsletters, and other resources intended to help readers think more carefully about God’s Word.
I have also spent many years serving in practical work outside of writing and ministry settings, including a long career in grocery retail management. That mix of ordinary work, church life, study, and teaching has shaped the tone of this site. I am not writing from a distance. I am writing as someone who has spent years trying to understand Scripture faithfully and live it in the real world.
For you who have discovered the teachings and free studies prepared by Glenn Davis...
It gives me great pleasure to commend Glenn and his diligent work in “rightly dividing the Word of truth “ in a day when there seems to be a dearth of solid contextual relative biblical teaching in some places in our world.
I have known Glenn since his young years and have seen his long term devotion to the scriptures. For a number of years he and his wife administered our “College In The Word” local church bible training which over the years engaged over 2000 students.
If you converse with Glenn you will find him to be a James 3:13; 17-18 kind of person who seeks and lives by “the wisdom that is from above”.
Our prayer is that you grow in grace and in the knowledge of our lord and saviour Jesus Christ as you “study to show yourself approved of God”.
Sincerely;
Dr Timothy Osiowy

If you read this site regularly, you will find teaching that aims to be Bible-centered, thoughtful, and practical. You may not agree with everything I write, and that is all right. I would be surprised if you did! My concern is to encourage serious Biblical thinking.
