Fear Not!

Fear is something that attacks all of us in various intensities at different times.  God recognizes this villain that we face.  There are almost 200 references in Scripture to Do not be afraid or Fear not.  Plus many references to encourage us that God is our Rock, our Deliever, our Fortress, or Strong Tower, our Peace and so much more.

It is not God’s desire that you live your life in fear.  Ultimately fear is a lack of trust in the goodness and protection of God.  If you are a Christian, you can learn to walk in victory over your fears.  This course will give you practical steps on overcoming fear in your life.

Jesus said in John 8:31-32: To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

We are going to look at the Truth.  Some of it may not be pleasant, but if we want freedom we must be willing to face and embrace the Truth.

This course, Fear Not! uses the textbook Do Not Be Afraid! by Messianic Rabbi K.A. Schneider.  It is firmly founded on Scripture.  You will need to purchase a copy before beginning your first lesson.  It is available on amazon and perhaps other providers.  The Kindle version is inexpensive.

Each lesson has assignments to help you overcome fear in your life.  In order to complete some of the assignments you will need to be familiar with our prerequisite course: Feed Yourself which trains you in how to study the Bible for yourself.

Many assignments have memory work.  These are to help you get the Scripture firmly in your mind.  I have every confidence that you can do it.  However, if you absolutely feel that you cannot, then simply write out [by hand] the Scripture passage ten times saying out loud each word as you write it.

It is my hope and trust that this course will be a blessing in your life.  Purchase your textbook, Do Not Be Afraid, here and register for it today.  Fear Not! for the Lord Your God is with you.
